Welcome neighbor!
I'm on the southern edge of the Woodlands.
I did not hear of Ms. Joyce's passing.
She was always so friendly.. even the UPS guy would stay longer than needed to have a chat with her.
Every time I came in she'd steer me toward the room full of yarn...
regardless of the fact that I've told her that I'm just not a yarn girl.
As for your Kenmore:
From what I've read online, the plastic class 15 bobbins should work.
Some people say the generics from Joann's work fine.. others prefer the Janome brand.
For $2 - $3 a pack at Joann's.. I'd give them a whirl.
I've posted in the Offline events section for Houston area quilters to post.
Perhaps we all can organize a get together!

Hi, I ran into Sears over the weekend to grab bobbins and they don't carry them. Matter of fact, the machines I saw were either Singer or Brother. I have tried the Class 15 bobbins from Joann's and they didn't work well. They were tad smaller and rattled a bit more in my machine. Actually the ones from Needle Nest don't have the J for Janome on them so not sure what these ones are they sold. Going to call tomorrow and see if they have any left or can tell me what kind they are.
Thank you for the suggestions!

Judi, I have the same machine and I get my bobbins from Sears. It's a great machine and loves all threads. I think the only negative part of this machine is it doesn't go over alot of layers so easily but other than that it sews great. I took a class last year to make a techinque quilt and learned how to use a lot of the decrotative stitches so I use them more than ever.
Hi, I love this machine. I ran to Sears over the weekend but they didn't carry bobbins at all. The only machines I saw were Singer or Brother. I know they carry them online. I wish they were more than 6 or 10 to a pack.
Enjoy your day!
