I'm right down the road from you in Durham, NC. Born and bred in Roanoke Virginia, then 7 years in San Antonio Texas with husband in miliary. Been in Durham for 35 years now.

I suspect you are planning to be here for the Autumn Leaves festival and/or the Jeb Stuart Civil War reenactment. OR maybe you just think it is very pretty around here! We have had a lot of rain so the tree colors should be beautiful about that time. (Mt. Airy has a quilt shop on main street.)

Checked in with you guys this morning and discovered we have some NC on line. I'm orginally from Huntersville North Carolina. I was born in Charlotte and raised in Huntersville. I've live in Salt Lake City Utah for about 27 years.

DH & I live in the wooded countryside, just 20 min. from Asheville. Technically, we live in Alexander, but no town here, lol. Weaverville is about 5mi down the mountain road from us...

We have probably run into each other. My grandson plays hockey(10 years old). He plays in Cary, Raleigh and Wake Forest. Betcha' don't get much quilting done on the week-ends. Love those 6:45 am games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
