Does anyone read Jane Smiley or Joyce Carol Oates? I recently read a book by Ronlyn Dominque called "The Mercy of Thin Air"---------a very interesting, good read. My goal before I go to the "deep blue yonder" is to read as many of the classics and Pulitizer prize winners as possible. I have a good start on the Pulitizer ones. I also want to read the Tolkien books.

I don't know how I forgot to list Cormac McCarthy. OMG, what a genius - All the Pretty Horses, Cities of the Plains, The Road, No Country for Old Men. Be sure to have your Spanish/English dictionary handy. Love, love, love this author!

I also like Christine Feehan, Kim Harrison, and Charlaine Harrison (she wrote the series that True Blood is based on, Sookie Stackhouse series) They are awesome.. and not to raunchy, at least not like Laurell K Hamilton and Sherrilyn Kenyon, who are two of my fave authors... I pretty much read anything. Growing up my favorite author was and is Judy Blume. Love so many different ones I couldnt list them all
