There is a block called Swoon that is 24 inches that I am in love with. I am going to make it for a Habitat Challenge in our guild. It is due in October, need to get started.

For some reason I think these are illegal as Disney would never allow it's designs to be sold like this.
That URL is for Russia! They do not have to comply with our copyright laws, but if YOU get caught with these designs, it will be all heck to pay. Especially those sports logos, Disney and other Licensed designs!

Is that a stupid question *LOL* I am still rather new at this so is a 11x11 block too big? Also looking for a washington redskins embroidery in pes if anyone knows where to find one except the on on etsy please pm me thanks Rita
Try some of the Embroidery sites on line for the redskins emb, although if the designs are licensed for NFL you may not be able to purchase. You may be able to copy a design and then piece it and applique for a block. :-D

If you really look at it, a Lone Star is only one block - an extremely BIG block.

PES is a format for embroidery machine. you have to have the design in the format your machine will read. if you have software you can change the format to one your machine will read.

Since there are no quilt police you can make a block any size you want. Blocks finished at 11" are on my bucket list because they are perfect for a king size bed top. You can do 11 9" blocks each way, or 9 11" blocks. Do it the way you like. Most people work with blocks that are divisible by 2 or 3 (especially 2) because the math is easier. Quilt rulers don't usually show measurements for 1/3" and that is a real possibility if you are piecing 11" blocks.

Look up "David's Quilt" on this site---the middle block is 34" and the quilt is gorgeous!
