I saw something at a quilt show about this that blew me away. Instead of covering the rope with fabric and going thru that they dyed the rope. It was beautiful. I thought this was a wonderful idea and it would sure be easier on your sewing machine. Let me know if you try it. Show your stuff!!! God Bless, 4js

i got mine at create for less it was pretty cheap i got a whole roll for 9.00 and it has enough on it to do several projects although i havent gotten around to it yet.

I get cord at Menards also - I found 7/32" 'sashing' cord for window weights in old windows. I've used it in several projects and it seems to work well.
