    This pattern did not call for turned edges. It's raw edge applique that I did a blanket stitch around. I use either Steam A Seam Lite or Heat N Bond Lite and I'm able to stitch right through. Because this is just a tablerunner, I don't mind doing raw edge applique since it won't get as loved on as much as a throw would.
