You betcha - I'll bring some hot dish and pop when we show up for the potluck dinner (at noon!)

I'm usually more entertained by misconceptions and differences than annoyed - I know I have enough of them about other parts of the country!

I disliked geography, history, and social studies when i was in school -

Now I realize that a lot of our history is/was determined by the geography of where people live(d).

And we wear shoes, marry someone who is not a cousin, and are a separate state from Virginia, LOL!
Amen, sisters. Gots teefs, too.

I was asked how long it takes me to drive from the USA to Europe. Uhhhh well I can't hold my breath that long. How can you not know about the Atlantic Ocean? For the same token people asked about driving from California to Hawaii. Huh? That would be one long bridge over the Pacific Ocean.

I grew up in Texas, therefore I own a zillion oil wells. I now live in Kentucky, lost my teeth and shoes on the way up here!

I live in a Chicago suburb and am tired of people thinking that Al Capone and his machine gunning sidekicks are still roaming the streets.

That's ok to let them think that though. It might scare them away.

 People are funny.

I haven't seen anyone comment from Montana. When I was working in a restaurant, I had someone show me a road map and comment that it looked like the road went right through the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. They were afraid it might not be safe, but I assured them if they kept their windows up and didn't look them in the eye, they'd probably be okay.
They think we're all sheepherders, like, "Are you from Montaaaana?" Answer-- "Yup, and I wanna go baaaaack." Gotta love em! I guess were all a little niave until we travel enough to experience other cultures.
