I'm up for awhile anyway!

That's scary! I think I'd have let the stranger know I had the gun...but that's me.

Do you have a neighbor or friend that can come stay with you tonight?

no won't be up all night but my prayers will be with you. sounds like they were ready to rob your house if you hadn't answered the knock with the other guys standing outside the car. Maybe you being home was enough to let them know not to mess with your house. I would also call & ask 911 to please patrol a little more tonight just to keep their eyes open. Please be safe & keep your gun by your side....

Read your story. Be safe and keep the phone with you. Cell phone too. That's really scary......

That is scarey, I wouldn't be able to sleep either. I have been keeping my doors locked even in the daytime since last week. The police took my neighbor (3 houses down) and her boyfriend to jail for home invasion robbery. The loot was in her house, I've known her for over 12 years.

I just don't understand people.
So glad you didn't open the door and that you are safe. Hopefully they moved on when they saw the police.

Good gracious you've had a night! You were right for not opening that door. They may have rushed you if you just cracked it a little.
I hope that your nerves calm down and you do get a little sleep.
Sorry that you had to go through this.

OMGoodness I'll be praying for you. Not sure I can sleep now for worring over you. Keep your gun at side, as many guns as you have. And your dogs also.
