[quote=Willa]No one famous from my family that I know of. Had a great great grandmother that had 5 sets of twins that lived. Hasn't been another set in the family since.
Ha Ha, My DHs Grandmother delivered babies way back when, There was a lady that had given birth to 4 sets of twins. Grandma used to call the father of them, "Double Barrel Tom"

My great great great grandfather was the second settler of our county and the first one of the neighboring county. He has a creek named after him and I live right between the east and west fork of that creek. He was once given an indian war pony from a chief of the indians here.

Not much is known about my Dad's family.
Maternal Grmother was Penna Dutch.Don't know how/where she married my Grfather who was a farmer in Ohio.
DH's Great Grfather had 12 kids with 1st wife. She passed away & he remarried & had another 10-12 kids.
Truth really is stranger than fiction!

Compared to some others, my family was pretty boring! My great-great-grandfather on my dad's side was a guard for the King of Prussia. I have the epaulets from his uniform.
Another great-great-grandfather emigrated from Northern Ireland with 7 brothers. They split up when they arrived in the US. My g-g-grandfather and one brother settled in Indiana. They never knew where the others went. I have a lot relatives out there I don't know about.
My mother grew up in a house that was haunted. My grandmother had a sister who died in the house at the age of 12. They would hear her singing upstairs in German. I got a chance to visit that house in May. It has since been torn down. Wonder what happened to the ghosts?

Way back on my Dad's side - the Marquis de Baillet came over with Lafayette to fight in our Revolution.
He also had an uncle who rode with Frank James.
My Cousin Lyda (actually my Dad's cousin) was still making gin in her bathtub when I was a kid.
Thread has been alot of fun to read - thanks for starting it.
