Gorgeous quilt, but way beyond my skills! I hope you will post photos occasionally.

Is there anyone who has the book and decided not to do it? PM me if you'd like to sell your book for a reasonable price. :)

I have the book. That's as far as I've gotten. Life and other stuff got in the way and I had forgotten about it. Won't be starting LBB any time soon.

It is a gorgeous quilt, but I do not do applique. Would never try something that complicated.

I do think you are going to have a gorgeous quilt to treasure. I may consider this later in the spring and as I said consider it. When I very first began quilting my oldest daughter asked for a quilt like a prize winning Baltimore, she said she would like something like that. Yes she has very good taste, but I knew to not even consider such a task, but now i am reconsidering.

I have nearly all blocks on my webshots, but my scanner broke and I have to use the now. I'll try to post a few this week, ok? This is a lovely quilt. I saw one completed years ago when I was on a retreat in Portland Oregon, and knew I needed to make this.....no skills in that area, but slowly I got them, then read about back basting. That makes it so much easier. A little harder because I had to trace the block onto the back side of the black block. But it works rather well, and I'm happy with the results.
I just ordered the CD and I'm hoping it has enough direction to get me through it. (Do not have the book) But, what is 'BACK BASTING'? I'm planning on doing a black background also.

    Stunning!
I didn't even know this book, much less the quilt, existed.
I can only dream of ever doing a quilt like that in my life.
