Wonderful - both of them! Are you going to make more bagellos? I think you were very clever to use that printed fabric for the backing - it coordinates beautifully.

I started mine about 4 years ago with my mother as a mentor. It's in shades of blue. It has become a UFO and I'm planning to finish it in April at a camp I'm attending with my sister. Thanks for the encouragement. Yours looks gorgeous. Congratulations on its finish.

Thank you so much for all the kind words. I have been asked quite a few questions so I hope to answer them here. The table runner was a pattern from the same book. Twist and Turn Bargello by Eileen Wright. It also has the table mat s in it.I used up the" left overs" to create a border, partly because I am incredibly mean and didn't want to waste them( just kidding) but also because I wanted to use it as a cover for a foot stool and wanted it a little wider. No, no-one is allowed to put their feet on it!!!. I am so pleased that my posting has inspired others to attempt a bargello,as I said ,this was my first but I would love to do some more.Getting the fabric together is perhaps the biggest challenge.
