Who knows, you might want to take it to the Antiques Roadshow, it might be worth more than you think, since most of us have never seen one.

Default Singer bank

I've already mangled a couple of paper clips trying to open it, so I think I'll take it to our local jeweler on Tuesday and see if he can do it. I remember him telling me one time that opening jewelry boxes was a fairly common request, so I have hopes, since this is probably a similar sort of lock. Mostly I just want to see what's in there (that I can hear rattling) and see if I can get an idea on dates based on the coin dates.

Think this will be big enough for a nice stash?
Hi, I would contact Singer and ask what year the bank was made. Awesomwe fine, bank and quilt

Have you googled the bank to try to find a date? The quilt looks old.
