I would like to see a block of the month where each month was a verse from a song. Everyone would interpet it in his own style of quilt work and share pictures each month.

I have. Malvina Reynolds wrote, "The Turtle Song", I have actually made 2 quilts based on that song. "You can't make a turtle come out.......and when you forget that he's there.....he'll be walking around with his head in the air".

That was my wedding dance song. It makes me thing of a star in the upper right corner with rays of light coming from the star in different lengths and a landscape along the bottom. For me there would be two people dancing in the landscape on a romantic evening.

All of ghostrider's songs immediately started playing in my head. (Apparently I was born with a tape recorder in my brain).

zoeytoo, I would LOVE to see that quilt! Sounds gorgeous. If you make it, please post a picture.

Because he was a friend I would make a starry window with a silhouette and a star with rays coming from it and quilt it with words like Hope Inspiration with a boat floating on the sea at the bottom.

Orange has me stumped, but I'm still digging. They'll each be monochromatic batiks.
I thought of the Orange Blossom Special by Johnny Cash might make a nice piece with applique!

WOW! What a fun idea. I had a song immediately pop into my mind-might have to make note of this!

ghostrider, What a great idea. DD, kuseta on this board, searched & came up with Orange Colored Sky by Nat King Cole, Orange Blossom Special by Dolly Parton, Orange Crush by REM, Orange Juice Song by Deep Purple & Evolution Orange by Earth, Wind & Fire. Orange Colored Sky gives me some ideas. Right, just what I need is another quilt to make.
