So how many quilts are you working on?

Same here. I used to quilt 30 years ago in high school and procrastinated over many unfinished projects so....when I started back quilting last year (now at the responsible age of 48) I promised myself to finish my projects before starting a new one. That being said, I have a "turning twenty" quilt that needs to be sandwiched and have another 20 (almost finished) blocks on the dining room table. In my defense, I am trying to decide whether to send my quilt out to be machine quilted or if I am brave enough to try it on my own with my new Janome 6600 and save myself $80.

I have 3 waiting to be loaded and quilted, (plus 4 baby charity =7), one more waiting for borders; will be sent to Afghanistan=8
one more that has about 8 log cabin blocks to finish, my 4 season mystery has a few blocks to finish and the extra blocks for another charity quilt = 11
working out design for 2 for my DGD (they have requested a lap quitl " I heart Red Sox"
I have many more, but these are my current WIP plus add in a Feb UFO
Can I add the other 2 or so I want to start NOW.....
I think I will write this list down and see how much I get completed by the end of the month.

One french braid, two Night Before Christmas in redwork for two new great grands, three or four that need borders, three that need quilting and one in the frame about half quilted. Already picked up a new "must do" from the site this morning! No deadlines tho.

I have several friends that never, ever start a quilt without finishing one. They may make several blocks at a class but she goes back to finish the other before doing the class project. I finish tops but then they sit. Expensive to have quilted and since I always seem to be making a top...they sit. When I machine quilt them I do them on my dining room table, more room. Arthritis keeps me from hand quilting now.

One that I work on at night (handquilted) and 5 finished tops waiting to be done on my machine. Then there's the
2 that are in progress being pieced. I love moving from project to project depending on my mood for that day.
Now if I have to finish one as a gift that's a different story. Just finished a 42x42 pink baby quilt in the rail fence.

I would not call you a black sheep. I too work one at a time, otherwise I would get distracted and want to start another without ever finishing the first. I have a list of about 6 or 7 quilts, 1 baby quilt that I have yet to make.
