How can I get back the little "thingy" to only read posts where I left off?
#11
Am online now and I use the 'archives' at the bottom of the page. It works still for me, my topics that I have looked at did change color. However, after I do my computer/virus cleanup work I have to start all over again.

Are the powers-that-be aware that this is still not fixed?
If I go to a forum, what I see is that the little arrows are on the threads I have not read yet, but once I read a thread the little arrow never comes back that will take me to new posts made in the thread. This is pretty useless, since the arrow takes me to the first unread post only if I have never looked at the thread!
With my subscribed threads also, I never get an arrow that takes me to new posts.
I used to be a programmer/analyst, so I understand how a problem like this can crop up. I find it harder to understand why it is taking so long to fix a simple bug.

Yes, Patrice has been made aware that it is still a problem...one that gets worse with time and as the threads get longer.
So far, there are 4 threads about this issue and it's been 'with us' since the 18th. That does seem like an unusually long time for some little toggle that isn't flipping for new posts to switch on the changes in typeface, multiple icons, etc.
