Now we're talkin'. I have a couple UFOs that I just can't finish, but I just can't part with them to pass them on. I like the idea of "disbanding", so guess what I am going to do today? I will get down to 10 by hook or by crook!

Love the apple core and courthouse steps! Beautiful.

Hey, I am glad I made you see sense about the UFO's...what is the point of having fabric stuffed in a bag hidden away when it can be put to good use in a new scrappy? I look forward to seeing what you make next Fraew

Daffy Daphne..I LOVE your scrappies, particularly the Apple Core! How did you keep tabs on not using the same fabric twice phew, that is a job in itself!!

I just loved this thread when it was started in July but forgot about it until now. This is the BEST thread ever! I love it so much that I put it in my QB blog entry this morning.

Here is my latest scrappy WIP - I posted it elsewhere, but thought it belonged here as well. It started with a bucket of strips that I got at an estate sale. I sewed them together, then cut into QSTs and then paired with black thanks to a design someone on the board helped me with.

    Hoping to quilt it soon!

Kystyna -- that is so visually interesting. Good job being creative with the strips! (Also love how it is growing hair and feet, LOL! You better be careful or it will walk off. )

Thanks. The challenge will be figuring out how to quilt it. Those feet and that hair are my DS and FDIL - and they had better not try to make off with it!

That is a verrry good question! I don't have a long arm, so whatever I do will be on a regular old sewing machine or alternately hooping it bit by bit on my embroidery machine. This one will be a trial run for another similar one in the works using batiks. Got any ideas?

I'm tempted to send it out to be quilted but it is soooo stringy I think the quilter would have a fit.

    Default More scrap quilts:

I may have posted these before. The flying geesestrip quilt was made from all the scraps I had that were purple, green, pink and related colors. I one small scrap of a beautiful fabric, but not enough to do a quilt with, so I used it as color inspiration and pulled all the scraps that matched its color scheme. The other one is made from the leftover geese. I still havent got them quilted after a couple of years so they are UFO's for now

Ooooo, flying geese are so awesome. The second one is my favorite, but both pretty.
