    Default He Saw My Machine

I had a man come in to clean my carpet in my livingroom. My sewing room door was open and he said Oh, do you sew? Yes, stupid me says, I love to sew. Oh, says he I have four pairs of new pants that need to be shortened, could you do them for me? Thinking FAST, I said Oh no, I only sew quilts. He looked at me kind of funny. Can you imagine?

You weren't even tempted in the least to say, "Sure, take them off." And then give a dirty grin. :>

Maybe you could have traded the shortening for the carpet work.

Why do people think that just because you sew that you would like to do alterations? It's like getting a root canal.
