Pale pink here with black and white toile curtains. Painted my tables/cabinets black and it looks pretty sharp, if I do say so myself!

I am going to paint my new walls a very soft aqua. It is really relaxing and calming. We are just getting my new 12 x15 room finished and I should be able to start painting next week. I am so excited.

mine is a sky blue. Wanted Yellow but everyone told me it would seem hot. I didn't get it ,so, choose blue. I wanted pretty not practical. If a can do it again I would choose a beige.

My daughter in law buys the sample cans and paints good size swatches on the wall. She buys 2 in the family of color she thinks she wants and 2 or 3 of new ideas. I used samples the last time we hired painters and it was the best thing we did. YES my dark brown sewing/guest room has lots of natural lite and also Ott lite and 3 other lights if needed. Two people have copied my brown room - its OK since we don't entertain the same people :-) Just thought I would mention the samples and seeing swatches - I think it helps.

Mine is off white -- the fabric gives me all the color I need.

My room's a dark navy blue. I guess I chose that color because it used to be a dining room, and it coordiated with the wallpaper trim
I use a bunch of lights, which I think I would have even it it was painted white
Like you said, "It's fun to be different"
