First let me say that your handwork is just magnificent and I also hand quilt. I do agree that there is a place for the machine quilting especially for quilts that will need washing such as baby quilts and kids quilts that get a lot of use and dragging around as kids tend to do. A long arm will never be in my budget and it is quite expensive to have one LA'd.(I know that there is a lot of work in that too) so I hand quilt.
the quilts you have showed are exquisite and they show off your talent so beautifully. Thanks for sharing your beauties with us.

Our quilt show coming up Sept 14, 15, 16, 2012, has a special entry for hand quilting. We don't get many but we do have a couple of members that do beautiful work. Yours is exceptional! show is in Torrington, WY, come see us sometime and enter your quilt we'd love to show any of them.

Your quilts are beautiful and I do agree with you, what has happened to the art of hand quilting and sewing. I am afraid that the world is in such a hurry to get some place. I am not sure where that is but it is so nice to see that there are still some people who take the time to put so much work and caring into their quilts. I have "machine quilted" a couple of wall hangings and must say I am not near as proud of them as I am the quilts that I have hand quilted. Takes a little longer but the results are so much better.

your work is awe-inspiring! If many quilters are like me, they would love to be able to do nothing but hand quilting but don't have the time, we need to get too many things done in a short amount of time so we take shortcuts. But, we truly LOVE to see and admire your work!!!!!

Thank you for bringing this up. I started hand-quilting because I didn't know how to machine quilt. I love the old fashioned look of it. Sorry Ladies, but I think the heavily machine quilting is too much. The quilt even looks hard, nothing that would be slept under. JMHO.

For me, it is very simple. Your handwork is gorgeous. Mine is not. And as my fingers get more arthritic, mine gets worse and more painful. Thank you for showing us your beautiful work. I think most of us put forth our best effort.
