Love your room, very organized and bright. Don't get too comfortable, though. I still have my youngest son at home, goes to college. The middle (daughter) got married last year and got a house in our neighborhood. My oldest son haven't lived at home for 6-7 years. GUESS WHAT ?? He's back, with my grandson when he has him half the time. I still have my sewing room, though. But, we have a 5 BD house busting out at the seams. He moved his entire house into ours and into the garage !! Hope that doesn't happen to you...LOL

Love how organized your room is. I'd get rid of the Encyclopedias now that the kids are older. They go out of style? so fast that you don't need them after 2 years. Then you can use that bookcase for more shelving for fabric.

Yup, grab those bedrooms as soon as they leave. My oldest left and I made his room a guest room. Guess who moved back and is the "guest" now? On top of that, he even took over one of my sewing rooms so I'm down to one! But it is nice to have him back and I don't have to mow the lawn now (DH can't do it because of his asthma).

I love being an empty nester too! Kids are doing well, off to their own places. I have 1 bedroom for my sewing and hubby uses family room for his N scale trains. Love the kids to visit but wouldn't want to give up the new freedom!!

Isn't it funny how fast our sewing space spreads out when our kids move and give us room?

Very nice sewing room. I would take over the room also. We have a Granddaughter living with us. She goes to school and works part time. I will take over her room for sewing when she moves out. I'm not in a hurry for her to move. Living with us keeps me from worrying about her.

My thoughts exactly. LOL! My three kids (now all in their 40's) moved out ages and ages ago. I turned the boys' room into my hobby room as soon as the last one left. I was a bit sad when pulling down their clipper ship wallpaper though.

I also took over a bedroom for my sewing room for awhile but it was too cold in the winter so now I use the den. I have to tell you that when our youngest son moved out, I gave him his bedroom furniture and the living room furniture (he slept on the couch and loveseat more than his bed). He was 21 and just bought his first house. 2 years later he sold his house and moved back home (with his indoor dog). He let the dog sleep with him so I wouldn't let him sleep on my guest bed. They stayed in the den and used the hide away bed. Lasted about 3 months then he moved out. I didn't want him to get to comfortable....hehehe

Your space is so sunny and light. Love it.
