I found these shelves at a thrift shop----andthey are heavy and strong, plus I have them shimmed up in front alittle.

I don't want to display mine as I'm as anti-clutter as possible. I hate dusting! But, I keep all of mine in a walk in closet on built in shelves. IKEA has quite a few shelves that would hold the weight and are inexpensive and good looking.

would love to display my machines, but I do not want to spend my time "dusting" them and keeping them clean I would rather be sewing..... hee hee maybe it is only Ohio that that has "dust bunnies"....

Herself swears that our dust bunnies are carnivorous and that some night they're going to munch us down in our sleep. I can't imagine a house with <mumble> cats and no forced/filtered air being dust bunny free.

I use one of these shelve systems to store my sewing supplies and notions on. It is very sturdy and has lots of room for all my batting, thread, bins, etc.

what I REALLY wanted, rather than the shelves I posted earlier, was shelving from industrial pipes and reclaimed wood. But because I live in a vintage house with plaster/lathe walls, I can't easily mount heavy things to the wall. Then I priced out making the same thing freestanding, and to get pretty black heavy metal components drove the price waaay up.

check these out.
