Plus, so many fabrics can go into different categories , so that makes organizing difficult, too.

Yep, find two lost things, lose four more!

I "lost" my clear 1x6 ruler when I cleaned my table and still haven't found it! Dosen't help that my new kitten loves getting into everything either. Maybe if I'm lucky Toby will find it lol

More often I find things I don't remember buying. Of course I guess that technically means they were "lost" before I found them. Good for you getting things organized! My sewing room is a disaster right now.

Well I have all my gift sewing and quilting done-and it has taken its toll on what used to be organized shelves of fabric. But now it looks like a tornado struck JoAnn's and now I have to get in there and tackle these strays - so my biggest fear is an avalanche and losing myself-- I really should have taught one of my fur babies to dial 911-my kid won't miss me for at least 2 days.

Of course, this is one of the foibles of quilting.

Always. Some things have been missing for months.

Yes, I do find somethings, but when I get it all cleaned up and organized, it only takes about a month for it to be cluttered and messy again. So I gave up.

Aaaaah, yes. As soon as you purchase it again, you will find it. Murphy's law.

Every time I straighten up a sewing table I loose something, but when the tables are pilled high and I have to hollow out a part to sew, I can put my hand on what ever item I need. Now my daughter decided to straighten up my sewing area when I had my hip replacement and I was not able to find a thing. Still missing a few things.
