Default Does reorganizing quilting room lead to lost items?

I enjoy playing with my stash and reorganizing everything. However, this generally leads to lost items.
Today, I plan to gather all my novelty fabric and put it in one container. I know I did this once or twice before but I keep finding fabric in the wrong places. Does that happen to any of you?

Those gremlins live in my house. Do other people re- buy items because they have tidied up and know they have it but cannot find it so out I go for another. This goes from fabric to notions etc. if it goes in a cupboards and I can't see it I. Tend to forget where it is.

In my house, that gremlin has a name - his name is George....I wish George would clean up after himself and put things back where they belong!

Yes, and I get so mad at myself. As soon as I go out and buy another I find it. Several times I have reorganized my Patterns and books and found duplicates of some of them also, then I think boy I must really like this one, I bought it twice.

me, too -

There are quite a few "Oh, where did THIS come from (or where had it been)?" items when I re-arrange.
And sometimes a few items go into hiding - couldn't possibly be that I can't remember where I put them!

I love having a creative mess...at least I know where everything is....when I straighten...I seem to not be able to find what I am looking for...I guess I should have a list of where I put everything.
