They are serrated so they don't shift as you cut

Micro-serrated, grips the fabric so it doesn't slip on the blade. Kai scissors are also micro-serrated.

Love, love, love them. I have both pairs. I've demoed them at two quilt shows for a friend and she gifted me with the pair. Like cutting through butter!

Does anyone have both the Kay Buckley and the Kai scissors and can tell us which one they like best? I need a new pair of scissors and am interested in comparing them.
    Thanks

I bought a Kia scissor pack some years ago at half price at Cracker Barrel of all places. I didn't know what difference the blade made then but the price was too good to pass up for a pack of six scissors. Three of the pairs had serrated blades. I won a pair of the the new Kay Buckley ones on a blog give away. Both brands are excellent. I would buy which ones were on sale in the size you wanted.

I have been using my Ginghers' since the mid 70's. i have never wanted to replace them. I cant even remember when they were sharpened last either. Maybe in the 1980's? Love them. But always interested to hear about new products.
