I could not find a 18 degree wedge as large as I wanted, so I made my own. I used the smaller wedge I already had and just increased the length/width to suit my my needs. I used a clear acrylic plastic piece I already had and after drawing the lines, I cut it with a scroll saw because it was the only thing I had. The edges were a little wavy so I used 100 grit sand paper to get them straight.
Hope the wedge shows up. BTW way it is 15 inches long, 2 1/8 inches at the smaller end and 6 7/8 inches at the the wider end. I have some plastic left over, so now I'll make either a 10 degree or a 9 degree wedge.

I am curious how did the scroll saw work? I have been wanting some rulers that I can not find.. and most of mine are home made... so I made some templates with card board but... I have the plexie (thats what I used last time) someone else cut it for me... but...if it is easy to use, i can borrow that saw... Love your idea it is a great one...

A scroll saw goes up and down (like the old hand held COPING SAW). I works just fine for me because I have done a lot of woodworking and have learned how to control cutting a straight line. Mine was a tiny bit wavy but I use sandpaper wrapped around a long flat board to sand out any high or low places.

I'm impressed! You do a lot better than I do...I've made a 10 degree ruler out of cardboard. It worked to make a tree skirt, but I finally bought one & the new one has the 45 & 60 degree lines on it, so I can do more. Good job~
