I love the Creative Grid rulers. I started out with the ones that they sell at Joann's with the bright yellow highlighted lines. Those screw me up so bad, I can't see through them and I am not as accurate with those rulers.

I see that my local shop now carries Creative Grid and Omni rulers - Don't know what I will get when I need new rulers. All this information is very helpful.

I love the Creative Grids ruler! One of my favorites is the Quick Trim and Circle ruler. It makes joining strips for binding so much easier and it's a good size for many uses. Check on the video on using it for binding...that part starts at about 3 minutes into the video. http://creativegridsusa.com/products...m=CGRMT1&ref=c

I can't imagine how I survive so long without using them! My old rulers are collecting dust!

I just replaced all of my old rulers with Creative Grids. The sizes I purchased are: 3 1/2 x 18 1/2; 6 1/2 x 24; and the 12 1/2 Square Two-in-One Square It Up & Fussy Cut Ruler.

I also invested in a couple of June Tailors Slotted Rulers which I also LOVE - the Shape Cut Plus Ruler, the Perfect Half-Square & Quarter Square Triangles Ruler, and the Diamond Cut ruler.

With these 6 rulers I've been able to do everything I can imagine doing (although I'm new to quilting/sewing and learn something new every day - especially on this board!).

I have the ole omni grids but the creative grids are really nice. Just don't mix strips cut with one system with the other - I find there are small differences.

When my last ruler broke I replaced it with creative grids. They are VERY nice and then I went and bought another... I love the no slip feature and feel like the markings are so clear!

Creative Grids rulers are the bomb! They are the only brand I use, and the only ones we sell at the LQS where I work!

I am not sure I would like the extra 1/2 inch. I have Omnigrid rulers now - 6 X 24, 3 X 18, 15 in squre and the 8 1/2 x 24 inch. I find that I do not use the 8 1/2 x 24. I find the markings on the 8 1/2 x 24 Omnigrid confusing.
