I have a Pfaff Tiptronic 6270 and a Coverlock serger. Good machines, but I will never purchase another Pfaff. The reason why? The difficulty in getting replacement parts for Pfaff machines. A sewing machine dealer near me switched from being a Pfaff dealer and changed to being a Babylock dealer. The reason for the switch? The fact that is takes up to 6 months to receive parts for the Pfaff machines. I can attest to that. I ordered a foot pedal,electric cord combo and it took 6 months. When my Pfaff's die, I will not be replacing them with another Pfaff. Getting parts can be a nightmare. The former Pfaff dealer would consider selling Pfaff's again if Pfaff became a stand alone company instead of being part of a holding company with Viking and Singer. I doubt if that will happen anytime soon.

I have a 6120 and the 7570. They are incredible workhorses. My kids use them mostly to sew but I rotate my machines around..I keep them oiled and in use. =) I find it funny that my favorite machine is a 1950's Rotary International that I rescued out of a store window of an old building.

I have two Pfaffs... One is the Pfaff Creative 1469, which I bought for a mere $77 on Ebay. I love it!! It really needed cleaning, adjusting and just general maintenance, but when I finished, I had a wonderful machine.
The other one is a Pfaff Tipmatic 1027. This machine is like brand new!!
I love both of the vintage machines for their simplicity and great stitching results. I would recommend both of them to anyone.
I also Have two vintage Singers.

I have the Pfafff Quilt Expressions 4.0 and absolutely LOVE it! Have had it for 3 years now. Love the IDT when piecing, and of course it's great for quilting. Also do regular sewing (grandchildren's garments etc) too. I am using more and more of the "bells and whistles" as I go along. It's a real powerhorse of a machine.

I have a Pfaff 7550 and 2144 and love them both. I have never had a problem with either of them. I take them for regular maintainence to my dealer and they both sew beautifully. The IDT is the best feature. They make heavy seams and quilting a breeze. I won't have anything but a Pfaff.

I have a Pfaff 2030 and a Janome 6600. I wish I hadn't bought the Janome and had gotten a new Pfaff instead. When I get back on my feet I'm going to trade the Janome off on a new Pfaff.

Tropical

My Pfaff Tiptronic 1171 is my only sewing machine. I bought it in 1997. I love it. I had it cleaned and checked out last year by a Pfaff dealer. He told me to never get rid of it because they aren't made in Germany, anymore and the quality is not the same since another company makes them now. I don't know about that, but I won't be getting rid of mine. It sews beautifully.

You'll see from an earlier post that I haven't fallen in love with my QE4, although we're getting along better, it's not a love affair, lol.
I just wish Janome would bring out a machine with auto-pivot. I emailed them about this and they've no plans to do so yet, so stuck with Pfaff for now .

I went with Pfaff as they were the first machine to let you design your own decorative stitches by coordinates.
Also the IDT was great. However, I don't like the fact that you can't do anything about presser foot pressure manually.

The feet from the 1475 fit the 2144, so I could keep most of my accessories. Didn't have to start over.
