Try Dawn Original -Put soap on the rag and use circular motion -let set for a about 10 minutes -wipe off with a wet rag. If your doors get as bad as mine this may take a couple times to get it all.But this has always worked for me. I have done this on job sites because 9 times out of 10 no matter how good the paint is it will not cover the grime. It bleeds through even after 3 and 4 coats. There is no cure for preventing it-I now wipe down door jambs and other fingerprint spots after I finish dishes at the end of the day

I haven't read all the posts so this may have already been suggested: either a squirt of Dawn dish soap in water with a microfiber cloth; of half Dawn/half vinegar (warm it in the microwave first to help blending with Dawn) and the microfiber cloth.

I think the tag line for Dawn could be changed from 'it takes grease out of your way' to 'it takes grime out of your way.' I use it more for cleaning than dishes.

If neither works, it is time to go sew :-)

Much cheaper than GOO Be Gone is lighter fluid which is a wonderful cleaner for anything sticky.

Simple Green. I use it for everything - dilute @ the label.

I don't want to be a commercial, but I recommend Krud Kutter. For a long time it was only sold at Home Depot, but now I find it in other stores

I keep a big bottle of orange oil in my kitchen for hard to clean areas and to mop floors when they get hard to remove stains. I use it it on my white doors when the grand kids are here and it has worked well for me. Just be sure to wash it off good when done.

I'd suggest a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser as well.

along with the peroxide, baking soda paste, I add a little dishwashing soap. It works wonders on dirty collar shirts and persipration around the underarms of the the white shirts. Srub on with a hard brush.
