Although I've not yet sewn my clothes to my quilt, I have done many, many of the things mentioned in this thread. I'm particularly good with the backwards and/or upside down thing. They were not funny at the time, but I have laughed all the way through this thread.

Time to quit when you cut through the binding on the quilt that is finally almost done. Still havn't got up the courage to go into my sewing room and survey the damage. Yes, happened just last night. Cringe!

What a great way to start a Friday morning at work. Laughed out loud on several and since I have only been quilting for a few months, I am sure these will be mistakes I will make as well. Hopefully not sewing my pants to my quilt, but probably could happen.

Or, you joined the block with the last piece of your favourite fabric to another block, but sewed a wobbly seam, so you got the seam ripper out and cut a huge hole in the fabric. OMG.

only 8" ? That's not really bad, not at all--it's that long, long seam that is frustrating when you realize you ran out LONG ago.

Thank you all, you have made my day! One does get to the point where they believe they can never get things right. It is so nice to know that others have been there too!

I have done all of these and then some. As some said they weren't funny at the time but they are now. The only reason I haven't sewn a quilt to my pants is I am allergic to hand sewing. I try to avoid it at all costs. But if I did hand sew, I am sure I would manage that one too. Thanks for all the laughs. It has been a long week.

I can laugh with you on this one. I sometimes wonder what on earth was I thinking (or not thinking)

These things seem to always happen at the most inconvience time., must be the devil at work while our angel is on break. I, too have had my share of them. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. Hope all my quilting friends have a blessed and wonderful weekend.
