Hammer if you really feel like it and want to go "Bam, bam, and bam!" but if you stop on your 1/4 seam allowance or rip it back to it from the center edge and swirl that, it all lays flat. Or it has always worked for us in making Stack n'whack . It is also working well with the Spike Your English BOM on QB.

What a fun bunch of scraps you've worked magic with! Very inspiring.

Love both! Could you share the paper piecing pattern you used?

Both quilts are going to be gorgeous but the 2nd one with the hexies, oh my! I really, really love it! I didn't read through all of the pages of comments. Did you give the name of the pattern? I can't wait to see how you quilt it!

For all who asked about patterns, the first is Stained Glass Worlds Fair from 1999 vol 4 no 4 of the Foundation Piecer. The other is a string x, I just put Hexie flowers in the white spaces created when blocks are sewn together. Thanks all for asking.

a few pounds with the smooth end of a meat tenderizer or a good hammer does wonders in pounding heavy bumps.
