    Default Scrappy Backing

Here is the scrappy back I've been working on. It took 676 five inch squares and will go with a Civil War Autograph variation quilt top. I hope to be able to afford to have it quilted by the end of the year.

DDM- that's pretty enough to be the front.

I agree kk. A great placement of neutral fabrics.

Default Scrappy Many Trips Around the World

Here is my latest finish, Many Trips Around the World, a well-known Bonnie Hunter pattern. This pic really doesn't do it justice. The quilt is 98 x 98 and according to my calculations used 14.65 yards of fabric. I bought a wide back for it -- didn't have the patience to piece the backing for it -- but the top is all from stash.

That is a beautiful quilt. I've never done a trip around the world, but this makes me want to try.

Awesome, AWESOME quilts! I have been bitten by the scrappy bug.

I moved recently and took the time to organize my fabrics and scraps in the new place. Made me realize that everything that I have made so far has been a planned quilt. Which left me with lots of scraps that I planned to use "sometime in the future." Well, that future has evolved into NOW.

Found Bonnie Hunter, and recently found this thread. There's no turning back...

The red and white star is a wall hanging for my kitchen. The triangles are my leaders and enders, all from fabric scraps from previous projects, and are on my design wall, growing as I work on others. Controlled scrappy, but scrappy. I'm trying... will take a while to get completely scrappy and lose all control.

Just thought I'd share so far... THANK YOU all for showing your wonderful quilts. I am SO inspired!

Very nice. I especially like the star--but, I'm partial to red!

I like your controlled scrappy Susan. I, for one, am another that prefers controlled scrappy. I've seen others state they do too, so you are in good company either way.
