Maybe you could start making them outfits? Like a bandana scarf or hat for next year? My Mom made one when DD was small and we all called him "Oscar", they're fun!

Do they have names?

I once asked my very young grandson the name of his teddy bear and he looked at me as if I were crazy and replied very clearly "Teddy!"

Just yesterday DH replaced his undergarments, Socks, a-shirts and underpants. With older ones in hand looks at me and says "Want these?" Absolutely, I just need to find the pattern for the sock monkey and I'm good to go. Just add to the other projects.

They are sooo cute. I just went to a Fox River Sale(they have one every fall) in Osage, Iowa they make socks (made in the USA) I saw they had sock monkeys there. Their socks are wonderful.

There is a toddler size of those brown socks as well. They also come in pink and in blue--don't ask me how I know.
