I am glad I don't have to pick a favorite.

I am sooo happy that I had started this thread (back in July '11).

Love all the scrappy quilts that everyone is sharing.

The BAD thing is now there are MANY scrap quilts on my bucket list .... but then I have LOTS and LOTS of scraps to make all those on the bucket list. hehehe

OK ... so here's one of mine ...... The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt

I did this as a Quilt Along here on the QB with some wonderful ladies. When I started I had done virtually no paper piecing, and soon built up my PP skills.

Almost all the fabrics came from my stash, except the backing, borders, sashings and cornerstones.
111 unique blocks! 144 fabrics used!!

Each block has a different quilting design.

With all the lovely LA quilting, the back could be used as a whole cloth ....

With many of the same Ladies, I continued on and did the sister quilt to the FWS .... The Pony Club Sampler Quilt.

While I used the PC pattern, those that are familiar with the book will notice that not all the blocks are in the book. Some of these were added for my own personal farm and rural life stories. Also, I included a block for each of the countries that the other Pony Clubbers were from. At times it really did seem like an old fashioned quilting bee ... even though we were doing it virtually!

During the FWS I mastered my PP skills. For the PC, my goals were to become comfortable with fussy cutting as well as doing y-seams. Every block was PP'd, even the ones with curves!

72 blocks ... 148 fabrics ... many are repeats to the FWS fabrics. Although I did buy several novelty fabrics for the theme. It was fun as we traded fabrics between the PC'ers too!

Again, each block was done with it's own quilting design ...

Another whole cloth look ... if I ever wish to flip it over ...

    Jeanann -
I love the simplicity of the first quilt. What are the measurements of initial squares and the frames? I do a lot of scrap quilts with a group who makes quilts for seniors, and this is something a group of people can construct together. Thanks, Paula

QuiltE, Your posts 2104-2106 are simply jaw-dropping. I am definitely in awe. What a wonderful job you did. I doubt I will ever get any made of these patterns but sure great to see someone else's. Thanks for the fabulous pictures and my kudos to you!
