As long as the power doesn't go out and I am snug in my sewing room, I don't mind.

Will spring ever come...We are not use to this cold here in the south. I lost some of my porch plants that I have had for years. I had them covered with two blanks but it got down to 17 degrees and it killed them. It is cold today, 43 with a lot of wind that makes it feel colder than it is..

I heard the same thing for Michigan....ugh! He had the terrible ice storm the Sunday before Christmas that left some people without power for 2 weeks. We were lucky and were only out for about 36 hours and we have a gas burning fireplace that helped some. However, a ton of tree branches came down and did a lot of damage. I have always jokingly said that we would never be cold if the furnace went out since we have so many quilts and fabric....well, we were covered up with 3 quilts each when the power came back on !!! After we kinda recovered from that, about 2 weeks, we got 17" of snow!!! The kids were happy because they got 3 snow days so it made a long winter break! I am so ready for spring!!!

If you live in Michigan you never know what to expect, you just try to be prepared for anything. I am not liking the cold and snow the older I get. I would love to have spring/summer all year round. We survived the power outage for almost 10 days but the hardest thing was not to be able to sew or use my computer. Not looking forward to the next deep freeze! {Hi Kelli}

I am sorry for the freezing cold you all have been suffering. We are so very warm in So California and the fire season has begun just a few months after it was over. I would take the snow any day over a wild fire. Nothing as scary as a firewall or flood waters rushing past your home. Stay warm and safe!!

Oh great! More $$ going to the oil company instead of the quilt shop This is the first year that I have bought and actually use flannel sheets! I love cold weather, but this is a bit much LOL

I drug out all my pot plants to enjoy all the sunshine and warm weather we have been having this week. I guess now I will have to drag them all back in again. Anything wet is welcome, we are so very dry. I hate the cold.
