It is beautiful, so is quilt inspector George.Yes, I love tied quilts, while I hand quilt,I still tie using curved needle. Sometimes yarn, sometimes embroidery thread. I grew up with tied quilts and of course hand quilted ones as well. I have one right now at the foot of one of beds that was made in the 50',washed countless times, been through the mill from years of use,and it is still in great shape. It was tied with embroidery yarn.

Your quilt looks great. I think tieing quilts works. My DH used to tie quilts his Mother made. His Dad helped too. It was a family thing to do once Mom had completed a quilt. My DH has helped me tie some also.

The tying looks good but eventually the ties may pull through or tear the fabric, This happened on some of the quilts that I made my kids. It may also have been caused by the fact that they were frequently washed and dragged around. I then took to putting some machine stitching and the ties in my quilts. The lines of machine stitching helped the batting not to shift in the washing machine and I still had the look of the ties that I liked.

Beautiful quilt. I tie my quilts cuz i dont have a way to or have access to a long arm. I love the vintage look and i tie mine with yarn. Never had a problem with yarn. You did a great job . Love all the colors incorporated inyour quilt. Looks cozy and happy and warm quilt. Well done!.
