I keep a bamboo stick (for finger pressing), lead pencil, scissors, pin cushion and thread ripper (my best friend lol).

Ruler racks with rulers going vertically and a plastic bag taped to the edge to catch scraps and threads.

I have my cone thread holder, a dish that holds my most commonly used feet, magnet for pins. I have on the wall to the right my thread holder. I have may machine perpendicular to the wall.

I have an 18" sq home made ironing board. Behind that and leaning on the wall are a couple of thread holders that dh made. Below the ironing board under the table are all my tools in a small drawer thingy better drawers than walmart kind. (needles, bobbins, ripper, screwdriver etc.)

I bought some clips (blings???) that has my sewing scissors hanging from it. I attach it to my shirt at the neckline and I never need to wonder where my little scissors is when I need it. Take it off when I am done sewing for the day. I bought a couple from jhittle and a couple from another place. I have 2 that are large ladybugs, with fake diamonds on it. Cute. I got a small scissors from my one swap and I have several that are vintage and I gifted one to a friend of mine who wants to quilt also.

my sewing table is 4x8ft and there are 2 drawers from my old water bed on each side (4 drawers) so my machine is pretty much centered and I like it, works for me. What is on the right? something that holds my most used feet, some odds /ends, 3 large pencil holders...one has markers for fabric and gel pens, the other has a large variety of paint brushes, the 3rd has fabric scissors and scissors used for everything but fabric, there is a bin with pre-cut peltex and fusibles for fabric postcards, and other 'stuff'.
