I went to a quilt show today and one vendor had magazine 6 for $1. I bought 12 (and wish I'd gotten more!!) and I literally just bookmarked this quilt to do! You did a great job on it. The binding scares me to do!! Glad your mom is able to enjoy it!

I love your quilt and your story! My Grandmother was like that with a set of sheets & pillowcases that I tatted the decorative edges on for her when she was in the nursing home. She would just pet the tatting and tell about how she tatted those edgings. She taught me to tat, knit, & crochet when I was very young, and I still do the crocheting. She also quilted, but I wasn't around her to learn that when she'd bring out the quilting frame and hang it from the ceiling. She also inspired me to read.

That is so sweet and isn't it wonderful she thinks she made it, truly she loves and admires it. I hope she enjoys it in good restful health.

My husband always says it is the little things that matter, and touching a quilt may be a little matter to some, but it obviously gives her pleasure from times gone by. Lovely quilt.
