You have to watch out with the Necchi Lydia, as they use a plastic cam stack that is often cracked, and is expensive to replace, if you can even find one.

They do look nice, though.

Skratchie that Singer is WAY up there in price. You can do far better quite easily. I'm a bottom feeder, I tend to go for the lowest possible prices. If you want vintage machines you may want to start hitting your local thrift and second hand stores. Machines are usually pretty cheap in them.

That Necchi is kind of neat, I like the swoopy lines. When were they made? I know next to nothing about Necchi machines. I may be off base but it looks a lot like some of our modern plastic ones.

I have one. The cam stack is cracked, at least the top three. It was $10. Want it?

ETA: The cam stack will run you about $160 for a used one.

True enough. Working on my own stuff has always been second nature to me though all the controls, sensors and chips on newer cars have pretty much made me stop working on any but the most basic things with them. I shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking everyone thinks the same way, especially when I know they don't.
