I really like the Take 5 quilt patterns. Want to do the variation of it done on point too.

Any ideas about patterns?
I came across this one today. It's called all fives baby quilt but probably can be modified. Looks pretty easy. http://cloud9fabrics.com/5x5-quilt-tutorial/

How about a double or triple Irish Chain and use the big center portion to quilt in the cancer ribbon.

Love the Take 5 quilt - have made several in different sizes and in one King Size one used 17 cuts from the same Moda collection and it turned out great!

Have used the Accuquilt take 5 die--makes slick work of cutting the quilt. If you have access to a Studio Cutter (some LQS' rent theirs) you can cut 8 to 10 blocks at one time. It goes together very easily. Of course, if you do a dumb-dumb as I did the first time your quilt will look different. I cut the blocks and somehow put the rectangle in a spot separate from the squares. The blocks I put together were the large square and 5 small squares. Made sense as I was I sewing, but after a dozen blocks things were not working out. Oh well, a couple of Linus quilts and then cut some other fabric for QOV. One way to reduce your stash.

I have two books for 'Take 5'. It takes 5 one yard cuts only. I do buy 5 one yard cuts once in a while just for 'Take 5'. You should buy one of their books. The patterns aren't too hard and the quilts are beautiful! So many people are telling you to try the books, and I agree!! I would even send you one of my books, if you would like. My treat!
