I like it as is. But you can also audition your leading by printing out a picture and using a felt tip marker to fill in your leading lines.

What a great idea! I'd have gone out and bought ribbon. (smack on the side o'the head!!!)

Very interesting project, I would layer it and use a stable batting like a polyester fleece. Then do like a thread painting technique to create your black lines that can go from fine to heavy as you see fit but would also complete your quilting as you go.

Dear Grammy of 6,
Please do not do the black stitching. the whole effect looks like a sunset. Think sun after Good Friday. (Just my humble opinion)
