QuiltE - I'm so glad you rediscovered embroidery. It seems the perfect finishing touch to what is going to be another amazing quilt. You've done a great job.
Anael: looking fabulous. I'm pretty sure the easy blocks weren't so easy, just in comparison to the killer block.

Anael ... Gorgeous ... love the red and whites! I think W4Me nailed it, the killer block! Any plans as to how this quilt is going to come all together? and what size? or just a WIP and only time will tell?
W4Me ... aww thanks!!!!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to doing something else in embroidery. Not sure what, but will know it when I see it.
All ... The challenge now is how to quilt it? Any ideas?
Honchey ... Thanks re the FFC ... you all contributed to make it so nice. You had your own mega meatball making recently. Hope you froze the extras to have ready for future quick meals.
OKSGlad ... now that's an interesting twist! Look forward to seeing this recipe! You'll need an extra freezer to stockpile for the multitudes coming!
Here's wishing everyone a good quilty weekend!!!!!!!

Oh, love the red white and black Anael! Great blocks, what size are they???
We will be leaving for Phoenix today to visit the grandkids that live there, then to Laughlin for a few days, then onto our April Campout with our RV group. We won't be home for 1 1/2 weeks. Internet access will be hit and miss, so I'll try to get online occasionally. I'm taking my 50 Fabulous Stars quilt stuff to work on. Hopefully I'll get a few of those blocks sewn along the way.
Talk with you all soon.

Meatball recipe--have used this for years
1# gr beef 2T grated bread
1 egg 2T milk
1 medium grated raw potato 1/2 t pepper
1 t salt pinch ginger
1 small finely chopped onion--I usually put in about 3T onion and will substitute with dried flakes
Mix all ingredients and form into balls. Fry in bacon drippings or oil, browning all sides. Remove meatballs and make gravy out of drippings, then put meatballs back in.
From 7 1/2# of gr beef I made 152 meatballs with my medium sized Pampered Chef scoop--so these are good sized.
Have a good trip Jeanie!
