yes, I do, they work well with my three, and do use a 14 for metallic threads. Usually do well, but I do purchase metalicia needles when I am doing a lot of emb. with that thread. Have been using Organ for years. I get them from Allstitch.net

Yep, I use 'em! My Janomes like them just fine, and I buy them from Amazon at 100 for $10. Not only is it a great deal but I love having that many needles on hand.

For those of you who buy them in bulk from Amazon, which needle type and size do you buy? Is the standard sewing machine needle a sharp point (i.e. not a universal needle?) Or would buying all topstitch needles be the way to go? Thanks in advance for your replies . . .Carolyn

I have used Organ needles for years. First for all my Embroidery machines and then
for sewing.In fact they always came with every machine I purchased. I have also used
Schmetz and I don't see any difference.

Ditto! I don't feel bad about changing them more often--the quality is good; I've just always been bad about running a needle too long.

I have used Organ needles since 1964 when I bought my first sewing machine, an older model I believe was from 1929, a necchi-elna, from a sewing machine center. Organ is the brand that he carried at about 10 cents each. I still purchase them when I can find them, which is getting harder all the time. I use them on my Husqvarna-Viking 1+, and also on a Montgomery Ward machine as well as my Singer, but it seems my Singer likes Singer needles better.

The problem that I am finding with purchasing needles is getting a regular sharp point, not universal or ball point needles.

I've been buying Organ needles from Amazon for quite a while. I love my Schmetz needles the best, tho. But I love that I can throw away my Organ needles anytime and have the 100 pack waiting to be used. Schmetz I use on special projects. I heart them!

Ladies, while dealers may think they know what to use and what not to use, only trying them in your machine will answer the question. Many people think they know far more that they really do or fall for what has been told to them without checking out the truth of the matter. Buy a few and try them and you will see if you like them and machines like them.
