hehe - it's "antic" because it's sure not an Antique LOL!! I love that it's "certified" when all they have is the warranty certificate that always came with a machine when it was bought. I've got several of them. The issue date on the "certificate" is 1959.

ok, on the other side of things.....
This nice lady listed her Transverse Pfaff Treadle WITH attachments for $300

I started to talk to her about buying it, but backed out because of finances. (Party and new Florence Treadle)
Today I received this:
"I would like to donate the sewing machine to you. I checked out your website and know the machine would have a great "home". Let me know when you would like to pick it up."
WOW! I suggested to her to let it sit for a week to see if she can make some $$ first. If that does not work, I will pick it up but give her money in a month or so when I can.

My DD's just called to let me know that they have the Pfaff Treadle in the car!!!!!!
This machine turns out to be a convertible. I had not looked at the first pic carefully enough!!! It has a HANDCRANK and the wood base is an insert!!!
My middle DD (the one who is NOT into sewing machines) was going on and on about how beautiful it is with all of the goldwork on the treadle irons!
Pictures when I get home from work (in a new thread)
