I had the same problem and decided to do a QRcode in his new college colors. Today I am basting it so I can get on with it.

Lots of nice patterns here, and some I don't care for. If you want modern, this is where to go.

Check out the latest McCall's Quilt magazine -- there are several nice modern quilt patterns. I haven't seen 'so many' in a given magazine that I find attractive.

BQ quilts are really easy and fast to do. The pattern is by Maple Island quilts. There is more than one variation sold too.

My personal favorite for a guy, simple and direct. You could use his school colors or just blue and brown. I have a blue and brown one but the picture reads black on screen and doesn't show the blocks. One nine patch and one snowball.

How about the "out of bound quilt" or the "zipper" quilt by Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Company

Is there a pattern for a QR Code quilt, I'd love to make a baking out of it for my computer geek son. Thanks for any help you can give me Kathy.
