Tiny zig zag machine?
I'm looking for a tiny (read 'lightweight') handcrank sewing machine that does zig zag. The idea is that I can use it on my knee while watching TV in the evenings! Does anyone know if such an animal exists? I don't want a chain-stitcher.
Did they even make a vibrating shuttle type that does zig zag? (I don't want to use one of those attachments that move the fabric about because I like to sew a relatively straight line and I think those things would throw me out of alignment).
thanks for your thoughts.

The only tiny or lightweight handcrank machines I have ever seen are toy-like chain/straight stitch machines.
I wouldn't think that there would be much balance or control with the machine sitting on your knee.

The only part in the model shown in black and turquoise that is plastic is the zigzag cam, wouldn’t you know it. The cam is broken in the black one that I wanted to make into a handcrank. Not sure about the other two....
