Oops, forgot to say I have a Juki 2000Qi. It doesn't happen on my Juki 600.

I sewed on my friend's Janome 6600 and I couldn't help break the old habit of foot up first!!!

It is an adjustment your tech can make that will leave thread long enough.

If mine unthreaded every time I used the thread cutter, I would take it back to who I bought it from. I use my thread cutter constantly and the foot has to be down.

My 6600 comes unthreaded hmmm. Maybe someday I'll figure out some way. Ya know where theres a will.....

It probably needs a slight adjustment. Take it back to your dealer and it should be an easy fix for him.
