I thought the same thing. Pretty colors in the blocks.

Maybe take the blocks apart and make pillows.

What I see is many nice blocks in Christmas Colors. Take all of your blocks apart. Re-think the layout. Let someone help you. Divide all your blocks into two piles, LIGHT versus DARK. One possibility is to put all blocks On Point. Either alternate with a solid block, or use very wide Solid sashing to separate the blocks. Or, put it in a container after you take all blocks apart, and let it rest for a year or two.

Don't despair. Use it as a backing or part of a backing. I've done that lots of times with quilts I didn't particularly like or blocks I've tried.

Chalk it up to tuition. It's the price we pay for learning new things. Finish it an donate it . Someone will love it.

I do this with a lot of things around my house. You like it, it's yours.
I'm glad you found someone who is going to take your quilt and do something with it. They have a lot of suggestions to think about on this thread.

Give it to a thrift store and someone will be able to take it apart and do something with it. I have rescued many a quilt that was given away, sometimes we just can't see what needs to be done with our own quilts.

You could also add applique to the quilt,if you don't want to take the quilt apart.

I was going to offer to take it but I see someone beat me to it. I'm happy that it's going to a new home and will end up being loved. Hugs and smiles, you did good by letting someone have it who will get it to a good purpose.
