Emma, did you know there is actually a 100% cotton fabric line that has quilting quality fabric printed to look like burlap..... almost had to have some for my vegetable and fruits quilts, but decided to stay with the 'wicker basket ' sashings.

Sarah, I've heard them called humility blocks! You know it's there, and it is what it is! the tiddlywink pattern with all different fabrics would be great for you.

I am finally finished with my star block & it came out exactly 8.5". YEAH for me!! I like it a lot, as it reminds me of Mardi Gras in New Orleans!! I have actually been there during Mardi Gras time & it is so colorful & beautiful. I have four more start blocks to do & the I will be caught up for the next clue.

Well, I finally caught up reading all the posts. Internet has been intermittent the last couple days, so haven't been able to get on.
Loving all the stars! Wow are we all going to have some gorgeous quilts!

YES! YES! YES! On the scrappy new mystery! Judy, you know I'm not going to miss one of the train rides! Can we do something with nickles? That bin is overflowing!! I'm just finishing up on a scrappy log cabin - 12" blocks (finished), so it's 5 rounds of 1 1/2" strips. I'm on the last row now, then figure out which layout I want & sew them together to make the top. Naturally, it's king sized.

Lynnie, glad your on the mend. Just take it easy & keep up with Dr's orders! You'll be up & going in no time.

To answer the ?? as to how I got the 2" HST, when I made the flying geese, I just sewed another seam 1/4" away from the original one & cut down the middle between them. No waste.

Just dropped off some Brownies in the club car. Enjoy!

Oh my! More chocolate in the club car?!?!?! You know I have absolutely no control when it comes to chocolate. But it's so good.

Although I said I wouldn't try to repost, I'm going to make myself a liar, and post the picture of the two types of block I've done for the QCA mystery. I'm hoping to make this a gift to my BIL, which is why the sedate "manly" colours. I hope it comes through this time. I saw the pic yesterday -- I know it was there -- but it wasn't there this morning. This time I won't take out the duplicate -- maybe that is why is disappeared.
