I'm sure I'm not the first to say it, but here goes - the pieced top is lovely with well chosen fabrics. Your quilting takes it over the top to awesome!

An outstanding example of what quilting is: The fabric and pattern choices bring out the beauty in your quilting, and your quilting brings out the beauty of the fabric and pattern choices.
I have the book, I have similar fabrics, and I thank you for showcasing another "Must Do".

The pattern is called "Islands in the Stream" by Robert DeCarli, author of Hill & Valley Log Cabins-An American Quilter's Society Book. In the book he states he designs everything in EQ7. The book is one of my favorite log cabin books, and has very clear simplified instructions. (If you see the book online, Islands in the Stream is on the cover, and the author designed, pieced, and quilted this pattern himself.)
