    I've seen other Pfaff 130s with the same severe flaking issues. I wonder if there was a bad batch of paint/shellac somewhere along the line because the flaking is all over these machines. It can be exacerbated by extreme temperatures (and solvents, of course) but I don't remember seeing another model/manufacturer with such a severe problem on some of its machines.

    The beds of old Necchi BUs are famous for it.

    The work the old watchmakers could do on a Jewelers lathe and these old tools is almost beyond belief.
